One of my favorite cartoons is a scene where there is a 9th Century General that is about to go to battle. Behind his tent is a smart-looking salesman with a machine gun on a tri-pod. The caption read's, "I don't have time for salesmen right now. I have a battle to fight!"
Wow. Such game changing technology right under the General's nose.
The wise of this world will tell you that knowledge is power. Once special knowledge is obtained strategies are put in place to capitalize on it. There is confidence in the strategy because the holder of this special information has faith in the knowledge.
Imagine having access to the Creator of the universe who will answer every request you have with His love. Imagine that you obtained this access for the rest of your life because this was a choice the Creator made on your behalf as you did nothing to earn it.
Now, having this special knowledge, you go about your life without ever accessing this Power. You struggle and sweat. Your relationships are hollow. Your business ventures are successful but unfulfilled. You don't sleep well. You are seemingly pierced by your own family and your clients daily. There is no rest or peace even when you take a vacation.
Now you are the defeated General who at the end of the battle there is little left of his army and surrender is his last act of survival.
Actually, defeat was almost certain. A Christian that ignores the Power the Lord has given him access to has no chance in this world because the god of this world hates him.
Unfortunately, this is a typical scenario. Most of us do not look to the Lord until its too late. But, the Power remains accessible!!
St Paul tells us to pray without ceasing. He also tells us that we are to be anxious of nothing and pray about everything with thanks giving. Yes...pray to God the Father with thanks in advance of the Lord's intersession for you.
Through Grace and the Guarantee one realizes the great position God has granted him. He can walk into the Court of the Most High God with confidence crying 'Abba Father.' His confidence and Faith is rewarded greatly.
Is this something I've said ... No. This is what God said. Do I understand it? No. Do I have to understand it? No. Do I have to believe it? Yes!! Is that all it takes? Yes!!!
Now that you have access to the Creator of the Universe use it. He did not give you this Position to ignore it. He has been waiting patiently for this very moment. Actuating God in your life through prayer becomes not only a Blessing to your family but the Power of God is released in your community.
