The Rebellious spirit
The Rebellious spirit
Grace and the Guarantee has reached over 800,000 souls since 2014. The Word of God never comes back to the Lord void. It always hits its mark and cannot be denied unless willfully discarded.
Struggling with the Word is usually the small rebel spirit in us that isn't necessarily against what God has said but is merely against the One who said it.
When we were kids, we were often willful in our thoughts due to someone or our parents not allowing us to do something without reason that was important to us that in our own mind was harmless. Over time when such direction was constant and without reason, we became exasperated. In time we then became resentful. Then, resentment turned into survival of self and an increasing need to express it. The barrier for us to accept successful societal norms was sealed and the only way to express our frustration was to disagree and discount everything that came from authority.
Hence the rebellious spirit is born. It didn't need a cause. It just needed to be against any figure of authority. Even Christ.
The rebellious is against anyone adhering to even the simplest and most obvious truth is so very apparent to any believer attempting to describe Jesus. The result is the hole and void in that soul, in unconscious pride, notches one more rebuke that validates and gratifies the smartest person they know. Themselves. They then continue to painfully seek 'the' remedy of their unknown enemy.
So how may one minister Truth to the Rebellious? You can't. You can only pray. Prayer is the only effective salve that disburses the enemy and allows one to see clearly that their current worldview may be in error during a brush with disaster or a bottom-dwelling experience. If we are all honest, this describes every one of us. Scripture is full of examples of failure upon failure with success only breaking through after an encounter with the God Most High, Jesus Christ.
Fortunately, however, there are many that do become believers because of the prayers of the members of the Body of Christ (1Cor 12:12-13) The Word has convinced me, that God pursued me because He knew me before time began. He also, prompted many in the 'Body' to pray for me. As a result, I find it difficult to find any Spirit-filled believer who has not been plowed under time and again by the god of this world more than one could honestly count. We all have found the Lord Jesus Christ from the ground looking up after being dismounted from our prideful seat of seeming worldly knowledge realizing that in the face of the Truth we are without excuse or comment and rendered speechless.
The only expression that then comes from our deserved worldly position in the dust is the following prayer.
DEAR GOD. I WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT FROM ANY PRIEST OR A PASTOR OR A HOLY MAN. I WANT TO KNOW IT FROM YOU AND ONLY YOU.
The best advice: FASTEN YOUR SEATBELT!
Blessings
