· Reconciliation·
· Divorce is incredibly difficult. Most people that have had them would never recommend them to anyone. When children are involved the destructing power of the destroyed relationship is often never reconciled. Wounds are deep and although are covered in time are never really healed.·
· Such was the case with the world from the time of Adam’s sin until Jesus Christ’s crucifixion. 1Cor 15:22. “For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.” and Rom 5:12 “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned.”·
· It’s important to understand that everyone is born with the Adamic or sin nature because of Adam’s sin … “For as in Adam all die.” Know that we are sinners not because we sin but we sin because we are sinners. This is a problem that cannot be dealt with in our own power no matter how much one tries. The sin-nature is bred in everyone. It can be dressed up and made presentable but it cannot be purged.·
· Everyone has seen children play. They are so cute. But, it doesn’t take much time to see their true nature when one child picks up the toy of another. Children have to be taught to be good … not bad. This is evidence enough as anyone can see the problems with folks who seem to have everything yet end up in trouble or worse.·
· The most devastating result of the sin-nature is separation from a relationship with God. But, the Lord knew it was going to take His Power to remedy His relationship with man as man is completely incapable. Not because he isn’t willing. But, he can’t do it!!·
· Therefore, God did it Himself.·
· 2 Cor 5:18-19 “All this is from God who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ not counting man’s sins against him.” Rom 8:3 "For what the Law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh"
· What?!?! God forgave the sins of the world?? You mean I’m forgiven? Yes … do you believe it? Remember that faith is not understanding. Faith is taking God at His Word!·
· How did He do that?!?·
· 1 Cor 15:1-4 “Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…”·
· Once we believe the Gospel God does something incredible: ·
· 2Cor 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; the old is gone, the new has come!”
Hebrews 10:10 “And by that will we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Christ Jesus once for all.”·
· As you reconcile yourself to believing what God has already done for you in believing the Gospel of God concerning His Son Jesus Christ; Rom 1:1, the Bible will open up to you as it complements the New Nature which gradually conforms to the character of the Holy Spirit.
This reckoning in your soul will produce the perseverance you’ll need to face any challenge with indescribable joy and rejoice with God everyday as you lean on in remembrance of what He finished for you.
In a crowd of people you’ll have the confidence of peace and awareness of His work wherever you may go. For God will bring the troubled to you for Him to administer through you.
No matter your condition. You’ll from now on be the solution as God has already called you to the position in Him by which you will satisfy your calling.
Col 1:9 “For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.”
From this day forward….you are the solution.
II Timothy should help you with this understanding.
